Unturning Steel, a Documentary

As the director of the documentary UNTURNING STEEL, Michael is committed to sparking a dialogue about suicide, purpose, and societal disengagement in America. The film follows the story of two brothers who faced challenges after military service, with one ultimately succumbing to suicide. The surviving brother, Bill Leahy, a West Point graduate, is on a mission to help other transitioning service members find purpose in reliability engineering, while addressing the alarming rate of veteran suicides. The documentary aims to connect the dots between the mental health crisis among veterans and the revitalization of American manufacturing.
