Award-Winning Producer

Our on-staff video producer is Patty Mooney, an industry veteran who has worked on hundreds of corporate and broadcast shoots over four decades. She has been asking probing questions since she was a tot and asked her father why the sky was blue. She has won honors as a Top 100 Producer twice. Clients include Extra, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, the VA, Susan Komen, NS Microwave, Reebok, Adidas, and many others.

Poet Filmmaker

Patty has long been a writer and poet and has worked on many scripts for corporate and broadcast clients. Her writing capabilities and extensive travels around the world are unique qualities that make her an even better producer. Patty has recently begun weaving her poetry into her films. These titles include the award-winning “Golden Hour:  First Mt. Everest Mountain Bike Rally,” based on poems she wrote when she participated as one of six mountain bikers in the rally in 1993, “Figs,” “Dance of a Mantis,” “Dear Athena, “The Elation of Tom Morgan,” and several others. Patty’s films are now wending their way across the world via international film festivals in various cities, and meeting with great success. Check out the photos of Patty in action as a Top San Diego Video Producer; they tell the tale.

Patty also enjoys practicing philanthropy via her many talents.  She produced, shot and edited Peace Out San Diego about San Diego’s peace movement, Black Black Blood, a music video about the 2010 Gulf Oil Catastrophe,  Small Acts of Kindness and “The Invisible Ones: Homeless Combat Veterans”.

Educational Video Pioneer

Other titles that followed which Video Producers Mark Schulze and Patty Mooney co-produced were “The Great Mountain Biking Video,” “Ultimate Mountain Biking,” and “Battle At Durango” which focused on mountain biking, which is a sport Patty and Mark have now shared since 1986.

Patty’s determination, perseverance and innovation came forth strongly in the mid-1980’s when she and co-producer Mark Schulze produced some special-interest home videos that were the first of their kind.  Patty’s passion for massage (she was a massage technician early in her career) was illuminated in an instructional video she produced called “Massage For Relaxation” which you may learn more about on Wikipedia.

Patty rode up and down the mountains of nine different countries in a mountain-bike video title called “Full Cycle: A World Odyssey” (see Wikipedia)  Patty still rides the local trails of San Diego, even now that both knees have been replaced.  So you can see that Patty’s adventurous spirit has taken her to places that not many mortals would attempt to go.

Mountain Biking Champion

Patty Mooney has ridden treacherous mountain-bike trails all over the world.  She rode the Himalayas (was among the first westerners to be allowed into Sikkim where they participated in the First Ever Himalayan Mountain Bike Rally in 1993). In Costa Rica she was a member in a small group of riders who made a Descent into the Turrialba Volcano in Costa Rica and then on the bottom of the ocean as seen on Real TV. After this underwater mountain biking extravaganza, Patty delivered an underwater peace sign in a Molson Beer Commercial.  She has mountain biked in Whistler, Canada; Moab, Utah; Mt. Orohena, Tahiti; the Matterhorn, Zermatt, Switzerland; the Flinders Ranges of Australia; Mt. Olympus, Greece; Mt. Snowdon, Wales; and a trail near Reichenbach Falls where Sherlock Holmes was shoved to his death by Moriarty (of course Sherlock was later resurrected after Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was pressured by fans). At the age of 67, she handily won a 20-mile grueling Sagebrush Safari mountain bike race in 2023.
