The vintage Batmobile was a highlight at the 2001 San Diego Comic Con.. Kids and Dads really seemed to get a kick out of it. You could almost hear the TV series soundtrack swirling around in your head. Da da da da da da da da BATMAN! Pow! Zammo! Blam!

We joined them atop Tower 13, on the main lifeguard building roof, in their lifeguard beach vehicles, on their rescue boats. And we marched up and down the sandy beaches wearing our sound gear, and hauling camera and tripod, in anticipation of drowning victims, killer sharks and beach mishaps. Not since meeting Vince Vaughn and Jewel at a Super Bowl red carpet appearance several years ago, had this sound technician been impressed by a super star. Why? When Mark Wahlberg came sauntering over to our crew, he looked at me and said, “How are you doing today?”

The Swell Life is a docu-soap produced by Oprah several summers ago. At that time, I was one of the Sound Technicians on a video production at Campland-on-the-Bay. There Izzy Paskowitz ran a surf camp for kids during the summer. His autistic son, Isaiah, who loves romping on the water, is the one who inspired Izzy to create the camp. On Wednesdays the camp caters to autistic children for free. I dropped in during the middle of a 12-week reality show shoot for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
