People often ask us what our best video productions have been.
The Crystal Pyramid Productions crew have enjoyed many years of producing, shooting and editing videos for both broadcast and corporate clients. Here are some of the stand-outs.
Drew Brees
Drew Brees is a great guy. San Diego Chargers fans mourned his exit. But when he brought the Super Bowl win to his new home, the New Orleans Saints, we rejoiced. Prior to the 2022 Super Bowl, we videotaped Drew in a green screen commercial for Avocados from Mexico. After the studio shoot, Drew was kind enough to pose for photos with the crew!
San Diego Highway I-15
Mark Schulze, Director of Photography and Videographer, shot footage of vehicles on a newly installed express lane on Highway 15. Patty Mooney was the driver. It’s not as easy as it sounds. We had to pull over to the side of the highway a few times to videotape passing vehicles. Then we re-entered the stream of traffic during rush hour. We had to jet across five lanes to access the “Hot Lanes.” Yep, Patty’s palms were sweating.
Coastguard Cutter Hamilton
Mark and Patty climbed aboard the coastguard cutter Hamilton to interview the vessel’s popular chef. She had won a prestigious award for her culinary arts. The video crew were invited to enjoy lunch with the cutter’s crew and indeed the fare was good. They even served Sushi. It is nice to see the original Alexander. (Hamilton, that is.)
Marmaduke
A day at the beach with a very famous dog. Our outdoor video production with Marmaduke in Imperial Beach, California, was super fun. He wasn’t the only dog present. The San Diego surf dogs were all out in force on their boards. Owen Wilson, George Lopez and Terri Seymour were also there to talk about the movie. Great day at the beach!
Cardio Care Live
Mark orchestrated a live webcast in a San Diego studio for Cardio Care Live. Two doctors and a moderator spoke while utilizing a Power Point presentation, and then took questions from audience members via a live feed.
The Bachelorette
It seems like forever, but remember when Ali and Roberto were big news? The Crystal Pyramid Productions crew followed San Diego’s Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky and her fiancee, Roberto Martinez, through Crate & Barrel as they selected items for their cozy home. It’s sad that the couple could not make their relationship work but they both seem to have landed on their feet.
