Diary of a San Diego Video Crew

Entrepreneurs on Wheels

Entrepreneurs on Wheels

Our success did not happen overnight. It took many years of concerted effort of working for ourselves from the time we each stopped working for someone else. As I see it, with all the megalithic corporations falling to their knees like those big mechanical creatures on Star Wars, an opportunity arises for those who are savvy and courageous enough to take it. We can create a whole new and unique economy based on bartering time, skills and products that are handmade or hand grown. It’s time for our communities to come together and work toward that new economy. So “follow your bliss” and start honing your skills. We have ingenuity and creativity going for us. And each other.

Professional Video Production

Professional Video Production

Professional video production is now into its early adulthood.  We’ve been producing, shooting and editing video since its infancy when video cameras were like lead bricks producing lousy resolution (the quality seemed good at the time), and video editing was linear.

Cycling Belize – by Helen Young

For travelers who are more interested in cycling day trips rather than a full cycling vacation, there are lots of place that are ideally suited to half day and full day cycling tours. In particular, it’s easy to rent bikes in coastal cities like Dangriga and Belize City.  There’s plenty to see in and around the cities. In west central Belize, the Cayo District provides the opportunity for guided tours to locations like Clarissa Falls and the ancient Mayan site of Xunantunich.

Body Boarding

Body Boarding

San Diego with its white sandy beaches, world-class waves and long summer season, is a surfer’s paradise where consistent reports of “Great surf, Dude!” (or “Dudette!”) are music to any bodyboarder’s ears. And body boarding in San Diego is something locals love to do when summer time rolls around. Bodyboarding San Diego is also something most newbies can learn to do in one or more surfing sessions.

First Himalayan Mt Everest Bike Rally

First Himalayan Mt Everest Bike Rally

Each new ride fills me with a terror, one notch above a simple adrenaline rush.  And this feeling is not quelled until maybe a mile into the ride when I know that the trail is within my ability.  By then I’m committed to finishing it. Looking up from the grounds of the Welcome Ceremony to the switchback trail that would take us 5,000 feet and 23 miles up to Sandakphu, my heart stuttered.  It looked incredibly steep! The foot racers gathered, a gun cracked, and they were off. We mountain bikers then lined up.  The soft life of high tea and pampering fell away as soon as the starting gun sounded and seven of us crawled up the trail, followed by the “video jeep” containing our equipment.

How Fusion Glass Can Fuse Your Team

How Fusion Glass Can Fuse Your Team

I recently spent an evening along with a small group of women making fused glass pendants at Idea Field/ FusionGlass Company, a La Mesa, California shop owned by Debbie Solan.  She’s an entrepreneur hailing from Ireland with a sunny disposition and a lovely brogue.
